NEW YORK CITY — Mercy College has ordered the evacuation of all four of its campuses Tuesday evening including those in Manhattan and The Bronx, a school spokesperson said.

"All campuses are being evacuated due to a threat," a tweet sent at 4:49 p.m. read.

The nature of the threat was not immediately evident.

Dobbs Ferry police were investigating at the Westchester campus, an officer told DNAinfo.

All evening classes and activities were canceled at the school's locations, according to the school's Twitter account.

About 100 people were evacuated from the Manhattan campus, a student told DNAinfo. Faculty and students also received an email about the closing.

Mercy College is located at 66 W. 35th St. in Midtown and at 1200 Waters Place in Pelham Bay. It also has location in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., and Yorktown Heights, N.Y.

The FDNY and NYPD did not have any information about at threat as of 5 p.m. Tuesday.

At least one student seemed relived by the scare.

“Oh my God, I don’t have class!  I have extra time to do my paper!”  said Jose Garcia, 28, a psychology major.

Garcia added that his joy was predicated on the threat being unfounded.

“I mean, if nothing serious happened, I’m glad.”
