CORONA — The organizer of the borough's first night market is co-sponsoring free seminars for small business owners in Queens this month before the launch of his second season.

John Wang, in partnership with Queens Borough President Melinda Katz and the city's Small Businesses Services, will host the first seminar from 6 to 8 p.m. March 8 at Borough Hall, 120-55 Queens Blvd.

“Queens epitomizes entrepreneurship and inspires innovation, and we’re pleased to partner with Small Business Services and the Night Market to offer this series of free business seminars for vendors and entrepreneurs who are interested in expanding their ideas,” said Borough President Melinda Katz in a statement.

Wang, a lawyer, got a crash course in running a business — and everything that goes along with it — when he launched the Queens International Night Market last year.

He now hopes to share what he's learned with other aspiring business owners in the borough.

The seminars will help with creating business plans, social media outreach, and navigating government bureaucracy.

There will also be guest speakers and the opportunity to network with other small businesses and vendors, many who will take part in this spring's second annual International Night Market.
