BROOKLYN — A fire near the Bedford-Nostrand Avenue G stop briefly snarled train traffic Friday afternoon ahead of the evening commute, MTA and fire officials said.
Firefighters were called to the station at 4:31 p.m. for a blaze on the tracks, a FDNY spokesman said. The cause of the fire was a burning insulator, according to the MTA
G train service resumed at 5:02 p.m., an MTA spokeswoman said.
Trains were running with residual delays for the start of the evening commute.
