BROOKLYN — Brooklyn Councilman David Greenfield said Thursday he intends to meet with MTA officials to discuss restoration of the F express service in Brooklyn.

Greenfield, who represents Borough Park, Midwood and Bensonhurst, said during a budget hearing that he has been “losing patience” with the MTA’s “failure” to answer questions about the F express.

“I feel like a broken record,” Greenfield said in a statement. “The infrastructure already exists. The tracks are there.”

Greenfield also called for the agency to publish a study on the feasibility of restoring the service.

An MTA spokesman said there is “no meeting currently scheduled,” but that they have weighed the option and officials would be “happy to meet with all stakeholders once the report is finalized.”

The agency also still needs to present the F express issue to their recently appointed transit president, Veronique Hakim, the spokesman added.
