WEST VILLAGE — Police arrested three people they said were found with 300 pounds of marijuana.

Officers seized 150 pounds of marijuana inside a crate being delivered to 144 Bleecker St. at about 1:20 p.m. Friday. It was being received by Patrick Johnston, 46, and Matthew Parrigo and Christopher Bender, both 27, the NYPD said.

The officers were on the scene when the suspects delivered one wooden crate and later found another 150 pound crate inside a delivery truck, police said. The deliverer, who may not have known what was in the crates, was not arrested, police said.

Johnston, who lived at the Bleecker Street address, Parrigo, of Graniteville, Staten Island, and Bender, of New Springville, Staten Island, were arrested and charged with criminal possession of marijuana, according to court records.

Johnston's bail was set $300,000, Parrigo's at $150,000 and Bender's at $10,000.

Contact information for their lawyers was not immediately available. The three are due back in court on Wednesday.
