TIMES SQUARE — A server at a comedy club stole about $25,000 from the venue by voiding customers’ orders from the system and pocketing their cash, police and the club's owner said.

Between Oct. 22 and Feb. 17, the female employee at LOL Times Square Comedy Club, at 711 Seventh Ave., used a manager’s code to void drinks that customers bought with cash, making it look like nothing had been purchased, club owner Roy Arias said Tuesday.

After she voided their orders, the server kept the cash, Arias said.

“It looked like there was no money owed to the house because the item had been zeroed out,” he said.

Arias first became suspicious the day before Valentine’s Day, when he noticed a manager who wasn’t working that day had voided several items.

“And then when I looked, I’d also seen that it was a lot of items voided under somebody else’s name. And I kept going back,” he said.

The server also voided orders using the names of servers who no longer worked at the club, Arias noted.

The owner reported she’d taken about $25,000 in total, but he believes she may have actually stolen “much more than that.”

The server was suspended from the club “indefinitely" but has not yet been arrested, he said.
