CONCORD — A 16-month-old toddler died after he was found unconscious by a babysitter inside a Staten Island apartment Sunday night, police said.

Anthony Delgado was found unconscious by a neighbor who was watching him inside a Steuben Street apartment building, near Mosel Avenue, at 10 p.m., a spokesman for the NYPD said.

The babysitter brought Delgado to a family member in the same building and then called 911, police said.

When officers responded to the cardiac arrest call, FDNY members were already on scene and performing CPR on Delgado.

The toddler was taken to Staten Island University Hospital North where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Delgado had signs of trauma on his body and the Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.

Police said an investigation is ongoing.
