NORTH BROOKLYN — A host of brand-new affordable apartments are now available in Greenpoint, Williamsburg and East Williamsburg, a stone's throw from G and L train stops and walking distance to dozens of bars, restaurants and grocery stores.

The city is now accepting applications for its housing lottery for 13 apartments at five North Brooklyn addresses: 568 Graham Ave., 7 Stagg St., 40 Scholes St., 198 Montrose Ave. and 44 Morgan Ave.

The thirteen units have one, two and three bedrooms and are renting at monthly rates between $756 to $1,265.

Six one bedrooms apartments will rent at $756 and $913 for households with one and two people making between $30,446 and $41,460 a year.

Three two-bedroom apartments will rent $907 and $1,096 a month for families with between two and four people who earn between $30,103 and 51,780 annually.

Lastly, for $1,265 a month, four three bedroom apartments will open up to families with three to six people earning between $42,412 and $60,120 annually.

New Yorkers who already live in Community Board 1 — which contains Williamsburg, Greenpoint and East Williamsburg north of Flushing Avenue — will get priority on half of the apartments. Some of the units will be set aside for people with visual, hearing or mobility impairments.

Applications are due on March 8. For more information on how to apply, visit the city's housing connect website.
