EAST WILLIAMSBURG — More than $4,000 worth of jewelry was missing from boxes stashed in an elderly woman's apartment, she told police.

The 80-year-old woman told police on Jan. 15 that she was missing several gold chains, 10 gold rings, three pairs of gold loop earrings and a thick gold bracelet.

The items were worth a total of $4,075, she told police.

Her husband and three home attendants had access to the Seigel Street apartment, according to police.

As of Tuesday police had not made an arrest and the items were still missing, according to police.
