EAST WILLIAMSBURG — A mugger bashed a woman on the head with a rock multiple times in the lobby of the Williamsburg Houses, then snatched her purse and fled the scene, according to local police.
The attacker left a two centimeter wound in the woman's forehead, after the Feb. 8 robbery that took place at around 10:00 p.m, police said.
The victim was rushed from her building's lobby at 91 Scholes St. to Kings County Hospital for treatment, according to police.
The woman, whose age was not released, was on her way home from paying her rent nearby, police said.
Her attacker, who had not been caught as of Tuesday afternoon, made off with the woman's blue purse worth $100, her ID, her social security card and $40 cash, according to police said.
