BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — Apartments at one of DeKalb Avenue’s newest buildings are on the market with studios and one-to-three-bedroom units up for grabs.

The Atrium, a new 70-unit residence at 785 DeKalb near Tompkins Avenue, features a fitness center, six-story brick atrium in the lobby, a lounge for the entire building with a wet bar, television and seating, as well as an entertainment and game room that leads to an open roof deck.

With rapid development along the thoroughfare, the building is the latest rental popping up along the strip.

“Bed-Stuy is definitely a budding neighborhood, especially within the last couple of years,” said Vittorio Faricelli, Nest Seekers' broker for the property.

“The amount of interest and the amount of new restaurants, new coffee shops — similarly, what happened to Williamsburg ten to 15 years ago with pizzerias, boutique restaurants, it’s happening now to Bed-Stuy.”

Rents for studios at The Atrium start at $1,964, with one-bedrooms priced at $2,296, two-bedrooms at $2,626 and three-bedrooms costing $3,234.

Each unit has central air, video intercoms, hardwood floors, a dishwasher and the option to include a washer and dryer.

Apartments in the rear of the building each have private yard space, Faricelli said, and there’s a common backyard to be shared as well.

The building was designed by Funda Durukan of Durukan Design, with more than 50,000 square feet of residential space, according to city records.

The site also includes an on-site parking garage and bike storage.

“It’s not a typical cookie-cutter building at all,” Faricelli added. “Bed-Stuy now deserves a premium product to come to the market, and this is it.”
