15 Subway Lines Slated for Disruptions This Weekend, MTA Says

MIDTOWN — Fifteen subway lines are slated for service disruptions this weekend as the MTA continues its work on rails, stations and signals across the city.

In addition to the changes listed below, the MTA will operate subways and buses on a Saturday schedule Monday in observance of Presidents Day.

2 Train: From 3:45 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Monday, 2 trains will operate in two segments: between Flatbush Avenue-Brooklyn College and East 180th Street, and between East 180th Street and Wakefield-241st Street. Transfers can be made at East 180th Street.

3 Train: 3 trains will skip Rockaway Avenue and Van Siclen Avenue in both directions this weekend. Free shuttle buses will be available.

For service to/from Rockaway Avenue, use shuttle buses to/from Saratoga Avenue. B60 customers can transfer to/from shuttle buses at Rockaway Avenue.

For service to/from Van Siclen Avenue, use shuttle buses to/from the Pennsylvania Avenue station at all times. Free transfers will be available with a MetroCard.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Tuesday, 3 trains will be suspended in both directions between Harlem-148th Street and 96th Street. The 2 train and free shuttle buses will operate as alternatives.

4 Train: Until later this winter, 4 trains will skip Rockaway Avenue and Van Siclen Avenue in both directions.

Until spring, Bronx-bound 6 trains will skip 103rd Street. Use the nearby 96th Street or 110th Street stations instead.

For service to 103rd Street, take an uptown 4 or 6 train to 125th Street and transfer downtown to a local 4 or 6 train or use a bus.

For service from 103rd take a downtown 4 or 6 to 96th Street and transfer to 96th and transfer to an uptown train. Free transfer is available with a MetroCard.

From 11:45 a.m. Friday to 7:30 a.m. Monday and from 11:45 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Bronx-bound 4 trains will run express from Grand Central to 125th Street.

5 Train: From 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Sunday and from 6 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Monday, 5 trains will run every 20 minutes between Eastchester-Dyre Avenue and Bowling Green.

From 3:45 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. Saturday and from 11:30 p.m. Saturday to 9:30 a.m. Monday, 5 train shuttles will be replaced by 2 trains between Eastchester-Dyre Avenue and East 180th Street.

6 Train: From 3:45 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. Saturday and from 11:30 p.m. to 9:30 a.m. Monday, 5 train shuttles will be replaced by 2 trains between Eastchester-Dyre Avenue and East 180th Street.

Until the spring, Bronx-bound 6 trains will skip the 103rd Street station. Alternative service recommendations for the 4 train also apply to the 6 train.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Brooklyn Bridge-bound 6 trains will run express from Parkchester to 3rd Avenue-138th Street.

7 Train: Saturday from 6:45 a.m. to 10 p.m., Hudson Yards-bound 7 trains will run express from Citi Field to Queensboro Plaza.

From 3:45 a.m. Sunday to 10 p.m. Monday, Hudson Yards-bound 7s will run express from Citi Field to 74th Street-Broadway.

A Train: Until spring 2016, Brooklyn-bound A trains will skip 111th. For service to 111th, take the A to 104th Street and transfer to a Lefferts Boulevard-bound A train or take the Q112 bus.

For service from this stop, take the A train to Lefferts Boulevard and transfer to a Brooklyn-bound A train.

A trains will also skip 80th Street. For service to this station, take an A train to Grand Avenue or to 88th Street, depending on which direction you’re heading.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Monday and from 11:45 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Brooklyn-bound A trains will run express from 145th Street to Canal Street.

C Train: From 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday to Monday, Brooklyn-bound C trains will run express from 145th Street to Canal Street.

D Train: From 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Tuesday, D trains will run local in Brooklyn between 36th Street and DeKalb Avenue.

E Train: From 12:15 a.m. Saturday to 7 a.m. Monday and from 12:15 a.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Jamaica-bound E trains will run express from Roosevelt Avenue to Forest Hills-71st Avenue.

F Train: Until the spring, Coney Island-bound F trains will skip Ditmas Avenue.

For service to Ditmas, take a Coney Island-bound F train to 18th Avenue and transfer to a Jamaica-bound F train.

For service from Ditmas, take a Queens-bound F train to Church and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F train.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Coney Island-bound F trains will skip 169th Street.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Coney Island-bound F trains will be rerouted via the E from Roosevelt to West 4th Street.

J Train: From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Tuesday, J trains will be suspended in both directions between Hewes Street and Broad Street. J trains will operate between Jamaica Center and Hewes. Free shuttles will be available instead and will operate between Hewes and Essex streets.

M Train: From 6 a.m. to midnight Saturday to Monday, M trains won’t run between Myrtle Avenue and Essex Street. M trains will operate between Metropolitan and Myrtle all weekend.

Free shuttle buses will provide alternate service between Hewes Street and Essex Street, stopping at Marcy. For direct service to/from Manhattan, use the L train.

N Train: Until spring 2017, Queens-bound N trains will skip 86th Street, Avenue U, Kings Highway, 20th Avenue, 18th Avenue, New Utrecht Avenue and Fort Hamilton Parkway. N trains will stop at Bay Parkway and 8th Avenue.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Tuesday, N trains will run local in both directions between 59th Street in Sunset Park and DeKalb Avenue.

R Train: From 6:30 a.m. to midnight, R trains will be extended to Jamaica-179th Street.

From 6 a.m. to 7 a.m., Jamaica-bound R trains will run express from Roosevelt Avenue to 71st Avenue.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Monday and from 11:45 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday, R trains will be extended to Whitehall Street.
