CHELSEA — Police are looking for a man who kicked a woman in the leg and spit in her face on a northbound 1 train during Monday morning rush hour before getting off the train at 23rd Street, police said.

The male suspect was riding a northbound 1 train around 8:38 a.m. Monday when he started yelling at his fellow passengers, the NYPD said.

The man then kicked a 36-year-old woman in the right leg and spit in her face while exiting the train at the 23rd Street station, police said.

He was described as between 40 and 50 years old, standing between 5-foot-9 and 5-foot-10, bald and with brown eyes, police said.
