BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — Police are searching for a man who they say broke into a Fulton Street liquor store by climbing through the ceiling and took off with approximately $10,000 in cash.

The burglar entered through the ceiling of Mr. Liquor store at 1555 Fulton St. near Albany Avenue around 7 a.m. on Feb. 4, officials said.

He damaged several bottles of alcohol and took money from the cash registers before making his escape, again through the ceiling, according to the NYPD.

Officials had no further details on how the suspect was able to break in.

Video released by police shows the man crawling amid broken bottles and shelves as he makes his way down.

He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, blue jeans, and gray sneakers, according to the NYPD.

An employee at Mr. Liquor declined to comment and a manager was not immediately available.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD Crime Stopper’s Hotline at 800-577-TIPS (8477).
