HUDSON YARDS — A Mercedes burst into flames on 34th Street and 11th Avenue not far from a High Line entrance Wednesday afternoon.

The FDNY got a call about the burning vehicle at 12:31 p.m., fire officials said, adding that there were no initial reports of injuries.

Two people were in the car and jumped out right out before it burst into flames, said street vendor Mena Shakar.

The vendor was working when he noticed the car pull up and the driver and passenger quickly jump out.

"[They] drove here and it was smoking," Shakar said. "And then in one time it was fire."

The flames charred his food cart, but Shakar was uninjured.

Vendor Abdelaty Moursy said a NYPD officer was nearby when the smoking car pulled over and immediately called the FDNY.

"This [driver is] so lucky because when the fire started the police were right there," said Moursy, 25.
