NEW YORK CITY — The city may get between 2 and 4 inches of snowfall overnight, potentially causing morning commuting delays according to the city's Office of Emergency Management.
The agency issued a travel advisory after the National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory for all of New York City Thursday evening.
The Department of Transportation also announced that alternate side parking has been suspended for Friday, but parking meters would remain in effect.

Rain falling Thursday evening was expected to turn to snow at around 1 a.m. Friday morning and continue to fall until around 9 a.m.
The National Weather Service also cautioned that freezing temperatures may make the roads icy and dangerous for drivers as temperatures will drop to the 20s on Friday evening.
The city's Department of Sanitation issued a snow alert beginning at midnight on Friday in order to prepare to plow the roads and spread salt if necessary.
