MELROSE — The Melrose Library will shut down for about a week and a half while it undergoes extensive renovations, according to the New York Public Library.
The library, located at 910 Morris Ave., will get new floors installed and have all of its interior walls painted, NYPL spokeswoman Adenike Olanrewaju said.
It will shut down on Feb. 5 and is set to reopen on Feb. 16, according to the NYPL.
Library patrons looking to pick up items that they had on hold will be able to get them from the nearby Grand Concourse branch, located just over one mile away from the Melrose Branch at 155 E. 173rd St.
People looking to renew items should call the NYPL at 917-275-6975 or visit nypl.org.
