CHELSEA — La Lunchonette has closed, but loyal patrons can bring home a memento from the beloved eatery.

Until Sunday evening, the French restaurant — which served its last beef bourguignon at the end of December — is selling its decor, cooking equipment, kitchenware, appliances and other items out of its 130 Tenth Ave. location.

The “jumble sale” of sorts will offer up everything from the eatery’s vintage cash register and wall art — including an original photograph of Miles Davis — to cutlery, candles and antique bathroom sinks, co-owner Melva Max said.

Customers can also purchase pieces like the pottery salad dressing holders that sat on the restaurant’s tables, La Lunchonette menus and the eatery’s “specials” boards.

“We don’t want to throw everything away… we want people to have a memory of La Lunchonette,” said Max.

There are no current plans to open a new restaurant, she added.

The 28-year-old eatery announced its closing in July, amid soaring rents and development along the High Line.

In December, Max and her daughter started a fundraiser to raise tuition money for the children of La Lunchonette’s chef and kitchen staff.

The sale will take place at the restaurant from around 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. from Thursday until Sunday, although Max advised shoppers to call ahead or send an email to set up a time to shop.

While some items have set prices, others will be negotiable, she said.

“We’re probably not going to make a lot of money, but we’ve got to clear the place out,” Max said.
