HAMILTON HEIGHTS — Score a studio for $500 a month in former Public School 186 on 145th Street.

The city’s housing lottery will start accepting applications for 78 affordable units, ranging from studios to two-bedrooms, this Friday. The $48 million project is expected to open in June.

Amenities at “The Residences at PS 186” include a live-in super, a video intercom system, laundry room, elevators, a community room and a bike room, according to the public notice.

Half of the units will be set aside for Hamilton Heights residents and 5 percent will be set aside for city employees.

Rents start as low as $508 a month for a studio for someone making between $18,000 and $24,000 and jump to $1,000 for a two-bedroom for people earning between $37,000 and $41,000.

A full breakdown of the income levels and unit options is available on Housing Connect.

P.S. 186 has been vacant since 1975. The Boys and Girls Club of Harlem bought the building in 1986 but it has taken decades for them to finance the plans.

Several elected officials attended the groundbreaking ceremony in November and the building has been under construction ever since.

Applications will be accepted online until April 8.
