COLUMBIA STREET WATERFRONT DISTRICT — Your fried chicken cravings are going to have to wait a little longer.

Celebrity chef Carla Hall has delayed the opening of her much-anticipated Columbia Street restaurant to the end of March, her team said.

Carla Hall's Southern Kitchen was slated to open in February at 115 Columbia St. near Kane Street with a focus on spicy Nashville-style hot chicken.

A representative from the restaurant's publicity team at Bullfrog + Baum told DNAinfo on Monday that Hall was taking the additional time to design and renovate the space.

Hall, who co-hosts ABC's "The Chew," announced her plans for the Southern cuisine restaurant last summer in the former location of Andy Ricker's Whiskey Soda Lounge NY.

She even took a stab at anointing the waterfront neighborhood with a new name — "Cobble Hook" — in honor of nearby Cobble Hill and Red Hook.

Red Hook is also on track to get its own fried chicken restaurant, as Hometown Bar-B-Que pit master Billy Durney last week announced plans to open Hometown Fried Chicken on Van Brunt Street this summer.
