BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — A Bed-Stuy parking garage recently sold for $8.2 million may be converted into a residential building, according to city records.

The former Expert Transit Corp. location, a commercial property located at 524-540 Halsey St. near Stuyvesant Avenue, is slated to become a five-story apartment building with 36 units, plans show.

The current three-story building used to house a parking garage with monthly and daily spots for cars, trucks, buses and limos.

Halsey NB LLC bought the lot for $8.2 million in December, according to city records, and the property's deed was transferred to Halsey Builders LLC.

The proposed residence would have eight apartments on the first floor, six apartments on the second and third levels, five units on the fourth floor and four on the top level. Seven triplex apartments will also be housed on the first through third floors, plans show.

A representative for Boaz Gilad, the co-founder of development firm Brookland Capital listed in partnership for the property, was not immediately available for comment.
