LONGWOOD — A pair of criminals claiming to be exterminators tied up and robbed a group of people in a South Bronx apartment this weekend, police said.

The robbers knocked on the door of an apartment on Beck Street around 10 a.m. on Saturday saying that they were exterminators, but when a 34-year-old woman answered the door, the suspects pushed their way inside and tied up her and three other people in the apartment, according to the NYPD.

The suspects, armed with guns, searched the apartment and demanded money, but were told there was no money in the place, so they left with an iPhone, police said.

Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com or texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES), then entering TIP577.
