Service Changes to Disrupt 15 Subway Lines This Weekend

NEW YORK CITY — A total of 15 subway lines will have service changes this weekend, mainly because of maintenance and upgrade work on the tracks, according to the MTA. 

JUMP TO YOUR LINE HERE:

1 train; 2 train; 3 train; 4 train; 6 train; A train; C train; E train; F train; J train; M train; L train; N Train; Q train; R train

1 Train: 
South Ferry-bound 1 trains will run express from 14th Street to Chambers Street from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. 

2 Train:

Flatbush Avenue-Brooklyn College-bound 2 trains will run express from 14th Street to Chambers Street from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m Monday.

Van Cortlandt Park-bound 2 trains will run local from Times Square-42nd Street to 96th Street from 10 p.m. Saturday until 10 a.m. Sunday.

3 Train

3 trains will skip Rockaway Avenue and Van Siclen Avenue in both directions at all times until the end of Winter. Hop on a free shuttle bus instead.

For service to and from Rockaway Avenue, you can use shuttle buses to and from the Saratoga Avenue station at all times. B60 straphangers can also transfer to and from shuttle buses at Rockaway Avenue.

For service to and from Van Siclen Avenue, use shuttle buses to and from the Pennsylvania Avenue station at all times. Free transfer available with MetroCard. 

3 trains will operate from and to New Lots Avenue all weekend, replacing the 4 train in Brooklyn from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. 

3 trains will also run express in Manhattan all weekend. 

Harlem-138th Street-bound 3 trains will run local from Times Square-42nd Street to 96th Street from 10 p.m Saturday to 10 a.m. Sunday. 

4 Train:

4 trains will skip Rockaway Avenue and Van Siclen Avenue in both directions and at all times until the end of winter. 

4 trains will be suspended in both directions between Crown Heights-Utica Avenue/New Lots Avenue and Bowling Green from 11:45 p.m to 5 a.m Monday. Take the 2 or 3 train instead and transfer between the 4 and the 2 or 3 train at Fulton Street. 

6 Train: 

Pelham Bay Park-bound 6 trains will run express from 3rd Avenue-138th Street to Hunts Point Avenue from 11:45 p.m Friday until 5 a.m. Monday.

Pelham Bay Park bound 6 trains will skip 103rd Street until spring. Use the nearby 96th Street or 110th Street stations instead. 

For service to this station, take an uptown 4 or 6 train to 125th Street and transfer to a downtown 4 local train or a 6 train. Alternatively, take an uptown 4 local train or a 6 train to 110th Street and transfer to a downtown M101 local, M102 or M103 bus. 

For service from this station, take a downtown 4 or 6 train to 96th street and transfer to an uptown 4 or 6 train. Or, take an M101, M102 or M103 bus to 96th Street and transfer to an uptown 4 or 6 train. Transfer between trains and buses is available with MetroCard.

A train

A trains will be suspended in both directions between Euclid Avenue and Ozone Park-Lefferts Boulevard from 12:01 a.m. Saturday until 5 a.m. Monday. Free shuttle buses will provide alternate service. Additionally, A trains will operates in two sections: 

• Between 207th Street and Euclid Avenue
• Between Rockaway Boulevard and Far Rockaway, every 20 minutes

Free shuttle buses will operate between Euclid Avenue and Lefferts Boulevard, stopping at Grant Avenue, 80th Street, 88th Street, Rockaway Boulevard, 104th Street and 111th Street. Transfer between A trains and free shuttles buses at Euclid Avenue and/or Rockaway Boulevard.

A trains will run express from 59th Street-Columbus Circle to Canal Street from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday until 5 a.m. Monday. 

Also, Brooklyn-bound A train will skip 111th Street at all times until spring. For service to this station, take an A train to 104th Street and transfer to Lefferts Boulevard-bound A train or take the Q112 bus, days and evening. 

For service from this station, take an A train to Lefferts Boulevard and transfer to a Brooklyn-bound A train. 

Brooklyn-bound A train will also skip 80th Street at all times until spring. For service to this station, take an A train to Grant Avenue and transfer to an Ozone Park/Far Rockaway-bound A train. 

For service from this station, take an A train to 88th street and transfer to a Brooklyn-bound A train.

C train

Brooklyn-bound C trains will run express from 59th Street-Columbus Circle to Canal Street from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

E train

Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer-bound E trains will skip 75th Avenue and Briarwood from 11:45 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday. 

Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer-bound E trains will run express from Queens Plaza to Forest Hills-71st Avenue from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.

World Trade Center-bound E trains will run local from Forest Hills-71st Avenue to Queens Plaza from 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday. 

F train

Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue-bound F trains will run local from Forest Hills-71st Avenue to Queens Plaza from 12:01 a.m. Saturday until 5 a.m. Monday.

Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer-bound F trains will skip 75th Avenue, Briarwood and Sutphin Boulevard form 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

F trains will be rerouted via the E line, making local stops, from Forest Hills-71st Avenue to West 4th Street- Washington Square from 11:45 p.m to Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue bound F trains will skip Ditmas Avenue at all times until Spring.
For service to this station, take the Coney Island-bound F train to 18th Avenue and transfer to a Jamaica-179th Street bound F train. 

For service from this station, take a Jamaica-179th Street-bound F train to Church Avenue and transfer to a Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue-bound F train. 

J train

J trains will be suspended in both directions between Hewes Street and Broad Street from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. J trains will operate between Jamaica Center and Hewes Street. Take free shuttle buses and hop on a 4, 6 or F train instead. Free shuttle buses will operate between Hewes Street and Essex Street, stopping at Marcy Avenue. 

For direct service between Brooklyn and Manhattan, consider using an A, C or L train via free transfer at Broadway Junction. 

M Train

M trains will be suspended in bot directions between Myrtle Avenue and Essex Street from 6 a.m. to midnight Saturday and Sunday. 

M trains will operate between Metropolitan Avenue and Myrtle Avenue all weekend. Take a J or L train and/or free shuttle buses instead.

Free shuttle buses will provide alternate service between Hewes Street and Essex Street, stopping at Marcy Avenue. For direct service to and from Manhattan, use the L train by transferring at Myrtle Wyckoff Avenues.

L train 

L trains will skip Atlantic Avenue in both directions at all Winter. For service to and from this station, hop on a free shuttle bus to and from the Broadway Junction station at all times.

N Train

Astoria-Ditmars Boulevard-bound N trains will skip 86th Street, Avenue U, Kings Highway, 20th Avenue, 18th Avenue, New Utrecht Avenue and Fort Hamilton Parkway at all times until Spring 2017. N trains will stop at Bay Parkway and 8th Avenue. 

To 86th Street, Avenue U, Kings Highway, take the Astoria-bound N train to Bay Parkway and transfer to a Coney Island-bound N train. 

To 20th Avenue, 18th Avenue, New Utrecht Avenue and Fort Hamilton Parkway, take an Astoria-bound N train to 8th Avenue and transfer to a Coney Island-bound N train. 

From these stations, take a Coney Island-bound N train to Bay Parkway or Stillwell Avenue and transfer to an Astoria-bound N train.

For New Utrecht Avenue-62nd Street, take a D train instead. Transfer to an Astoria-bound N train at 36th Street. 

Q train

Q trains will be suspended in both directions between 57th Street-7th Avenue and Kings Highway from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Q service will operate between Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue and Kings Highway. Free shuttle buses will operate as follows:

• Express between Kings Highway and Atlantic-Barcalys Center
• Local between Kings Highway and Atlantic Av-Barclays Center

For service to Manhattan, take a D, F or N train from Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue. For service to Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue, hop on a D, F or N train at 34th Street Herald Square or a D or N train at Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center. 

R Train: 

Forest Hills-71st Avenue-bound R trains will run express from Queens Plaza to Forest Hills-71st Avenue from 6 a.m. to midnight Saturday and Sunday.
