MIDTOWN — A female pickpocket snatched three wallets and a credit card case from four different women over the course of three months, police said.

The first theft took place on Sept. 12, when a woman standing in front of the Paramount Building at 1501 Broadway around 4 p.m. realized her wallet and credit cards were no longer in her purse, police said.

The suspect later used the cards to make unauthorized purchases, according to police.

A little over a month later, on Oct. 18, a second woman was shopping inside an Express clothing store at 1552 Broadway around 6 p.m. when she realized someone had snatched her wallet and debit card from her purse, the NYPD said.

The thief also purchased items with that debit card, police said.

On Nov. 1, a third female victim was walking near West 44th Street and Seventh Avenue around 6 p.m. when she realized someone had removed her wallet and credit card from her book bag, the NYPD said.

The suspect racked up a $1,295.61 bill on that victim’s card, according to police.

Finally, on Dec. 30, a fourth woman was standing in front of 8 E. 50th St. around 7 p.m. when she, too, discovered someone had taken her credit card case from her tote bag, the NYPD said.

The pickpocket made a $2,500 purchase with that woman’s credit card, police said.

Police have asked anyone with information call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit tips on the Crime Stoppers’ website at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com or by texting CRIMES (274367) and entering TIP577.
