NEW YORK CITY — New York Yankees fans have their sights on opening day.

The Bronx Bombers will start their season at Yankee Stadium against the Houston Astros. Due to inclement weather on the originally scheduled opening day of April 4th, the Yankees announced that the first pitch is now set for 1:05 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5.

Those with tickets for the April 4th game may attend the rescheduled game or make an exchange for tickets to any regular-season home game in 2016, according to a statement released by the team Monday.

The MTA announced that they'll do their annual opening day vintage train ride at 11:30 a.m. on April 5. They'll run the four low-voltage 1917 train cars from 42 St-Grand Central to 161 St-Yankee Stadium on the 4, 5, 6 line.

The Yankees, who were 87-75 last season, are looking to win back the hearts of New York sports fans after the Mets Cinderella run — and eventual loss — last year in the World Series.

The Yankees play their crosstown rivals in one series this season with games at both Yankee Stadium and CitiField:

• Monday, Aug. 1 at 7:10 p.m. (at CitiField)
• Tuesday, Aug. 2 at 7:10 p.m. (at CitiField)
• Wednesday, Aug. 3 at 7:05 p.m. (home)
• Thursday, Aug. 4 at 7:05 p.m. (home)
