EAST VILLAGE — A 51-year-old man was beat up over the weekend when a stranger kicked open his door and demanded money, police said.

Police said two men entered the victim’s apartment building, located on the FDR Drive and knocked on his door at around 2:50 p.m. on Jan. 17.

When the victim opened the door, one of the suspects kicked the door open and began punching and hitting him with a gun, and demanding money, while the other suspect stood by, police said.

They left without taking anything, police said, leaving the victim with cuts on this head. The victim refused medical attention at the scene, according to the NYPD.

Police released video of the suspects, who dressed in all black. One suspect was about 6 feet tall, weighing about 170 pounds, police said, while the other was 5-foot-7, weighing 180 pounds. Both men appeared to be in their mid-20s, according to the NYPD.
