Seaborne, 228 Van Brunt St., Red Hook

Open since: Jan. 15
Type of cuisine: Cocktail bar
Late cocktail aficionado Sasha Petraske — the man behind bars like Milk & Honey and Little Branch — had big plans for a new bar in Red Hook. Tragically, Petraske died at 42 last August and the bar’s opening was delayed. But Seaborne finally opened its doors last week under the operation of Petraske’s business partners. The bar serves classic and modern cocktails, and has a spiked frozen drinks program.

Try the 18 brews on tap at Brooklyn’s latest craft beer bar, with drinks ranging from $6 to $12. Whether you’re a “beer nerd” or just looking to expand your palate beyond Blue Moons, the bartenders at The Wilky will have a recommendation handy, according to the owners. The new watering hole also serves hot and cold sandwiches including a Cuban and smoked turkey club, along with bar snacks like pickles and chips.
