WEST VILLAGE — Two men robbed a South African biltong — or dried beef — store on Christopher Street, police said.

Police said the pair hit the Jonty Jacobs store at 114 Christopher St. about 6:20 p.m. on Jan. 14.

They pretended to have a gun and threatened a store employee, police said, demanding money.

The men were able to grab $200 in cash and a Dell laptop before taking off westbound on Christopher Street, police said. There was no mention of any dried beef.

Police said no one reported any injuries, and the suspects are still at large.

Representatives from the store did not respond to requests for comment.

They described one suspect as 5-foot-7 and 140 pounds, with short black close-cut hair and brown eyes. That suspect was last seen wearing a black and gray hooded ski jacket, blue jeans and black sneakers, police said.

The second suspect is described as 5-foot-10, 220 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. Police said he was last seen wearing a black hooded ski jacket, black jeans, a black ski cap and multi-colored sneakers.

Anyone with information about this incident or the suspects is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-577-TIPS. All calls are confidential.

Both are about 25 years old, police said.

Jonty Jacobs did not immediately return a voicemail left for comment.
