WILLIAMSBURG — A man threatened to set his friend's house on fire then hit him repeatedly with the apartment's intercom phone, slicing the victim's face open, according to police and prosecutors.

“I am going to set your house on fire,” Armen Danilian, 29, told his friend while holding a lighter to the walls of the South 4th Street apartment on the morning of Jan. 6 at 6:30 a.m., police and prosecutors said.

Danilian then ripped the handset from an intercom system off the wall and used it to bash his friend over the head multiple times, prosecutors and police said.

The 29-year-old victim's glasses shattered and he needed four stitches, according to prosecutors. It wasn't immediately clear what sparked the outburst.

Danilian, a Hell's Kitchen resident and photographer whose parents run the dance company Ardani Artists, is being held at Rikers and is due back in court on Jan. 26.

A judge set bail at $5,000 bail, which Danilian hadn't posted as of Thursday.

No information about his attorney was available immediately. His father declined to comment.
