PORT RICHMOND — A man on parole after serving three years in prison for robbery charges was arrested on Monday after he was found with crack and other drugs in his home, prosecutors said.

Joseph Turner, 26, was arrested after his parole officers found 19 strips of buprenorphine and naloxone inside the nightstand drawer in his Port Richmond home, prosecutors said.

In the presence of the the officers, Turner threw something out of his window which turned out to be three bags of crack cocaine, prosecutors said.

Turner was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance at his arraignment, the Staten Island District Attorney's office said.

His bond was set at $1,000 and he's due back in court on Friday, according to online court records.

His lawyer could not be reached for comment.

Turner served a three-year sentence starting in 2012 on robbery and attempted robbery charges and was released on parole in October 2015, according to Department of Corrections records.
