LOWER EAST SIDE — A trio of thieves beat up a man they accused of being a “snitch” before stealing $2,100 worth of money orders from him, police said.

Police said the 26-year-old victim was walking east on Rivington Street at roughly 6 p.m. on Jan. 7 when three men, dressed in dark clothing, approached him in front of 171 Rivington St., police said.

“You that homie [that] snitched,” one of them said to the victim, before they began hitting him in the head, according to the NYPD.

One of the men took three money orders worth $700 each from the victim’s left side jacket pocket before fleeing east on Rivington Street, according to authorities

The victim refused medical attention, police said.

Police described the suspects as having brown eyes. One suspect is about 24 years old, stands roughly 6-foot-1 and weighs 180 pounds, police said.
