CHELSEA — A man wearing a bow tie groped a 12-year-old girl as she walked on West 28th Street Tuesday afternoon, police said.
The girl was walking near Tenth Avenue when the man came up to her and grabbed her buttocks around 4:30 p.m. She screamed and ran toward 11th Avenue, the NYPD said.
When the girl got home she told her mom, who called 911, police said.
The suspect is described as a white male in his early 20s, about 5-foot-6 with short brown hair. He was wearing dark green trousers and a dark bow tie, police said.
