FINANCIAL DISTRICT — A man stole 51 boxes of cold medicines — including Mucinex, Claritin and DayQuil — from a Financial District Duane Reade, police said.
The man quickly grabbed the boxes off shelves in the 67 Broad St. store at about 8:40 a.m. on Dec 29, police said.
He then fled the store with the meds, worth a total of $1,017, police said.
The shop is no stranger to cold-med shoplifting. Several months ago, in September, two thieves stole about $1,000 in a variety of medicines, including decongestant Mucinex.
