MOUNT EDEN — A pedestrian died after being hit by three different vehicles in The Bronx on Friday, police said.

The 52-year-old man, whose name had not been released as of Monday, was crossing the road by Wythe Place and E. 170th Street around 10:20 p.m. on Friday when a red minivan hit him and fled the scene, according to the NYPD.

A green minivan then ran over the victim while he was lying in the roadway and also fled, then a black BMW X5 hit the man. That driver remained on the scene, police said.

The victim was unconscious with severe body trauma when police arrived and EMS workers took him to Bronx-Lebanon Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The investigation into the man's death is ongoing, and there had been no arrests as of Monday, according to the NYPD.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
