MANHATTAN — A 68-year-old pedestrian was hit and killed while crossing an Upper East Side street Thursday night, police said.

Andrea Kremen, of Fort Lee, N.J., was about to cross York Avenue at the East 78th Street intersection when she was hit by a gray 2005 Honda Pilot heading northbound on York Avenue, the NYPD said.

Kremen was taken to New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center where she was pronounced dead, police said.

The driver of the car remained on the scene and was not charged, officials said.
