UPPER WEST SIDE — A man claiming he had a gun robbed a teenager on a side street near Central Park West, swiping his iPhone, headphones and paycheck before fleeing, police said.

The suspect approached the 19-year-old on the northeast corner of Central Park West and West 104th Street on Nov. 13 at 11 a.m., telling him he had a gun and to follow him, the NYPD said.

The two walked north a block and turned onto West 105th Street between Central Park West and Manhattan Avenue, where the suspect demanded that the teen empty his pockets, police said.

The victim, who was not injured, gave the man his iPhone 5S, a pair of headphones and a paycheck.

The suspect — described as standing 5-foot-6, weighing 160 pounds and wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, yellow sneakers and a dark do-rag — fled the scene on foot, the NYPD said.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
