PARK SLOPE — An ex-employee of an organic market was arrested Jan. 2 after he stole five knives from the store and then waved them at the store manager while yelling and screaming, according to a criminal complaint.
Police arrested Terrance Ubiles, 23, at Park Organic market on Eighth Avenue and 12th Street at about 4:15 p.m., according to a police report.
A store employee and two witnesses told police that Ubiles barged into the store's kitchen and grabbed five knives, then left the store, according to the report. Ubiles then ran away and returned a short while later without the knives and continued to shout at the manager, according to the complaint. Police searched Ubiles and found a gravity knife in his pants pocket.
Ubiles was charged with felony robbery, burglary, menacing, criminal possession of stolen property, criminal possession of a weapon, trespassing and harassment.
