UPPER WEST SIDE — Upscale restaurant Telepan and cookie hub Levain Bakery have teamed up to celebrate their respective anniversaries with a new pizza collaboration.

Telepan, which just celebrated its 10th anniversary at 72 West 69th St., and Levain Bakery, which recently marked its 20th year at 167 W. 74th St., decided to honor the occasion by serving up a bacon jalapeño pizza every Wednesday in January at Levain.

Thirty percent of the proceeds from the pizza sales will be split evenly between the healthy eating and exercise nonprofit Wellness in the Schools and the ASPCA, restaurant owner Bill Telepan said in an email.

Telepan has supported WITS in the past, and Levain Bakery owners Connie McDonald and Pam Weekes are supporters of the ASPCA and fostering animals, a spokeswoman for Telepan said.

The idea for the $9, individual-sized pizza came from Teleplan's appreciation for Levain Bakery's crusts, said Telepan.

"I stopped in one day and tried one of their pizzas and fell in love with their crusts," he said. "So it's Levain's crust and my topping combination."

Along with bacon and jalapeño, the white pie includes red onions, mozzarella and parmesan cheeses, with the ingredients supplied by Levain and made on site, a spokeswoman for Telepan said.
