QUEENS — A pair of lock-picking thieves are wanted for a string of burglaries in Sunnyside and Woodside that took place over the last three months, according to the NYPD.

The pair picked the apartment door locks in nine different break-ins from the start of October to Dec. 22, stealing thousands of dollars in cash as well as computers, cellphones, jewelry and other items, police said.

The thefts — most of which took place during the day — include one haul on Oct. 19 where the men broke into an apartment on 53rd Street near Skillman Avenue and made off with a bicycle, a Macbook computer, a necklace, credits cards and someone's $650 paycheck.

They stole $12,000 in cash, several pieces of jewelry and an Apple laptop from another apartment on 55th Street near Queens Boulevard on Nov. 4, according to police.

In the most recent burglary on Nov. 22, one of the suspects broke into an apartment on 43rd Avenue near 50th Street but failed to steal anything after the victim came home and caught him. He fled the apartment through a window and up a fire escape, police said.

Police say one suspect is believed to be between 50 and 60 years old, and the second between 40 and 45 years old. Surveillance footage shows the two walking up a flight of stairs inside an apartment building.
