FINANCIAL DISTRICT — An employee of restaurant Sabor de Mexico allegedly stole $1,500 from a cash register and safe, police said.

The eatery’s manager told police that he found a total of $1,500 missing from his 76 Nassau St. eatery’s safe and register on Dec. 11.

Only one of his employees had access to the safe, the manager told police.

The restaurant did not immediately return request for comment.

As of Thursday, there were no arrests made.
