UPPER EAST SIDE — "All About That Bass" singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor will be at the 92nd Street Y in February to talk about her career.

Trainor will be joined by producer L.A. Reid, who signed superstars like Rihanna, Kanye West, Mariah Carey and Justin Bieber.

When the songwriter played "All About That Bass" on a ukulele for Reid, he immediately signed her, according to Billboard.com.

The song was a major hit in 2014, selling roughly 400,000 copies in just the first five weeks, according to Billboard.

The Feb. 2 talk accompanies the release of Reid's new memoir, "Sing to Me: My Story of Making Music, Finding Magic and Searching for Who's Next," which delves into Reid's background and career with Def Jam Music and Epic Records.

The producer will talk about his life in music from his childhood in Cincinnati to the day he signed Trainor, according to the 92Y.

The talk will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 2 at the 92Y's Kaufmann Concert Hall at Lexington Avenue and 92nd Street. Tickets are $54 per person and can be purchased at 92y.org.
