QUEENS — A pedestrian was seriously injured after two cars hit him in Ridgewood Monday morning, FDNY officials and witnesses said.

The man, whose name and age were not immediately released, was hit near Metropolitan and Woodward avenues about 10:18 a.m., and knocked into oncoming traffic, a witness said.

"It was a hard impact. The windshield was shattered," said Kimron Frederick, 23, who works nearby.

"Then a second car hit him right after. The cars were going in the opposite directions. It happened so fast," Frederick said.

The pedestrian lay on the ground, curned in a ball, the witness said.

"Blood was coming from his head. The paramedics cut his clothes off to see if they would get a pulse. Then they did chest compressions," Frederick added.

The pedestrian was taken to Elmhurst Hospital and listed in serious condition, officials said.

An NYPD spokeswoman said she did not have information about the incident.
