MELROSE — A pair of women attacked and robbed a 76-year-old man in The Bronx over the weekend, according to the NYPD.

The women followed their victim from the intersection of Third Avenue and East 163rd Street up to the area by Melrose Avenue and Elton Avenue roughly 3:45 a.m. on Saturday, police said.

One suspect then started arguing with him while the other one punched him, knocking him to the ground, according to police.

The suspects then grabbed his wallet out of his back pants pocket and ran away toward East 163rd Street, police said.

Officers described both suspects as women between 25 and 35 years old.

One suspect was 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighed 150 pounds and was last seen in a fur-lined hooded black jacket, white sneakers, blue jeans and a bandana. The other was 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighed 140 pounds and was last seen in blue jeans, black sneakers and a dark hooded sweater with white lettering on the front, police said.
