81-Year-Old Man Knocked Down, Robbed Outside Bed-Stuy Home, Police Say

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — An 81-year-old man was knocked to the ground and then robbed of his wallet just steps away from his home on Dec. 2, police said.

The elderly man was walking out of his Lewis Avenue home around 1 p.m. when another man hit him over the head and knocked him to the ground. His attacker then took his wallet which contained his identification, bank cards and cash, according to the NYPD.

The victim refused medical aid on the scene, police said.

Police said that the suspect was caught on surveillance photo wearing black pants, a black jacket and a gray hoodie.
