YMCA Gym Locker Emptied of $1,450 in Property and Cash, Police Say

UPPER WEST SIDE — A man had $1,450 worth of property stolen from a locker at the neighborhood YMCA this month. 

On Dec. 1 at 10 a.m., the 50-year-old man returned to his locker at the YMCA at 5 W. 63rd St. to find his gym lock and backpack were missing, police said. 

The man had stowed $1,450 worth of property in his backpack, including his iPhone, his wallet, his credit cards and $450 in cash, police said.

The YMCA did not immediately return request for comment.
