EAST WILLIAMSBURG — Robbers struck Chase Bank on Grand Street twice in the same week, making off with $1,500 the first go-round, followed by an unsuccessful attempt a few days later.

The first robbery took place at 2:30 p.m. inside the bank at 819 Grand St. A man in his 30s approached the teller and slipped a note across the counter that read, "Give me your money. No dye pack. If you don’t give [it to] me, I am going to shoot someone.”

The teller rifled through the drawers passing the cash over to the perpetrator, who then told the worker to open a second drawer as well, police said.

In all, the man made off with $1,500 in cash and has not been caught as of Thursday, according to police.

Police are looking for this man, who they say tried to rob a Chase Bank on the corner of Grand Avenue and Bushwick Avenue.

Two days later another perpetrator walked into the Chase Bank around 5:50 p.m and handed a note to the teller that read, “There is a bomb in the lobby and I want 50K.”

The teller showed the man the empty cash drawer.

"Give me the note back," the would-be robber demanded, fleeing on foot, police said.

Police released a photo of the man from the attempted robbery and are asking for help identifying the man.
