BOERUM HILL — Park Slope favorite Fatty Daddy Taco is bringing Mexican fare to the neighborhood's dining scene with a new spot on Smith Street.
The new eatery at 152 Smith St. takes over the former space of Sample, a low-key bar that shuttered in December 2014.
Fatty Daddy officially opened Dec. 3 with its brightly painted storefront near Bergen Street. It will serve $3 to $4 tacos as well as burritos, tortas and quesadillas priced between $8 and $10 with an array of meat and veggie fillings such as steak, chicken, chorizo, grilled fish and mushrooms. There is also a selection of salads and a special menu for kids.

Restaurant owner David O'Keefe, who also opened Layla Jones in Cobble Hill nine years ago, started the first Park Slope Fatty Daddy in 2013 on Ninth Street and Fifth Avenue.
He is also looking in neighborhoods like DUMBO and Brooklyn Heights, as well as around the Barclays Center, for future Fatty Daddy locations, he told DNAinfo Wednesday.
