LONG ISLAND CITY — A pair of former construction workers — one of whom is still at large — beat and robbed their foreman in Queens last month during a dispute over pay, according to the NYPD.

The two men got into an argument with the 39-year-old victim shortly after 4 p.m. on Nov. 25 at the construction site on 24th Street and 41st Avenue, demanding the foreman pay them for their previous work, police said.

The pair beat the man with metal pipes, then stole his $360 Samsung Galaxy phone and fled, according to police. The foreman was taken to Cornell Hospital where he was treated for lacerations, bruising and bleeding and then released, police said.

The NYPD released a photo of one of the suspects, who is still at large. The other suspect was arrested on Thursday after he returned to the construction site, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
