Deliveryman Beaten and Robbed at Madison Ave. and 128th St., Police Say

EAST HARLEM — A deliveryman dropping food off at 2025 Madison Ave. at 128th Street was beaten and robbed Thursday, according to the NYPD.

The 46-year-old victim told police that a man who looked to be in his 20s stopped and said, “Excuse me can I ask you a question?”

When the delivery man leaned in to listen, the suspect punched him in the forehead and knocked him to the ground.

Then he reached into his pockets took his smart phone and $90 before running north along Madison Avenue, police said.

The deliveryman did not sustain serious injuries.
