Bushwick Barber Robbed of $2K at Gunpoint on Sunday Morning, Police Say

BUSHWICK — Two armed gunman robbed a barber shop of $2,000 and three cellphones Sunday morning, police said.

The robbers hit Merengala Barber Shop ocated at 164 Irving Ave. about 11:30 a.m. and held three employees in the basement at gunpoint, according to police.

The two perpetrators were caught on surveillance cameras outside and police are asking the public for information about their whereabouts or any other information about the incident.

Workers at Merengala could not be immediately reached for comment.
